The very latest in laptops are claiming to be green.

Are they really green or is this just a marketing ploy?

If you are buying a second hand laptop, assume the battery is useless. New batteries can replace the old ones, providing they are still available. You will be surprised how cheap they are. Check out the locals who are advertising laptops for sale (find them in the links left and right on this site) and then search further afield for a brand new battery. Major Hong Kong companies can supply you legally with a generic battery for only a few dollars and the postage is really fast.
